IRIS FOR THE AIR TRAVEL SAFER.

Many accidents of aircraft produced put an excuse that we still depend on pilots contact through the radio, but this will change through international collaboration and through satellites that will make the plane ride safer. The modernization of this requires a upward vision in the long term but that promises to increase the efficiency, capacity, and performance.

The Iris project is divided into two phases.

First, the iris system provide communications air-to-surface namely, identify an aircraft in four dimensions which are: latitude, longitude, altitude and time. This is scheduled for the year 2018. Control of the aircraft in 4D trajectories is more reliable and safer. Second, long-term service as I have mentioned before allowing is to have a more complete vision of the 4D on the air spaces around the world and the data link will be the primary means of communication between the drivers and the cabin crew. This is planned for the year 2028.

To meet the safety standards, European aircraft can fly an extra 42 kilometers. With the 4D trajectories will allow monitoring flights and more accurate and more efficient management of traffic.

One of the main advantages that has the 4 d system is allowing one rather larger number in the cancellation of flights and delays, since all aircraft will be monitored in a continuous way and control centres will be informing periodically. My opinion.

The first time that I get a drafting of a topic that has to do with the aircraft, thought that this issue was going to be more to write it, since it is a subject which, at first glance, does not attract me much, but when you start reading about it and search more information for further work I have come to realize that is not a subject so boring as he thought.

I has come to seem interesting, since I did not know that they were looking for other ways to make the aircraft more secure than it already is, because already if the plane is the safest transport. I think that is a forward thinking and be in the process of creating new systems to make the plane less disadvantages, such as flight delays, and have more advantages, as it is cheaper or that it will be more secure or that they will be in touch periodically with control centres.
